Michael Duggan, BVSc DVMS MRCVS, Clinician in Equine Surgery and ICAT Fellow

Michael is an EBVS European Specialist in Large Animal/Equine Surgery who graduated from University of Bristol before completing a doctorate degree in equine orthobiologics. Michael started his career in mixed practice before pursuing an equine surgery career with time spent in first opinion and referral equine practice throughout the UK and Ireland. He is also the veterinary advisor to the Northern Ireland Horse Board and an FEI official veterinarian.
Michael's research interests include the use of orthobiologics in joint disease and the effects of space travel on cartilage development with a further interest in the clinical applications of computer aided design and 3D printing. He is passionate about One Health and the collaborative approach to research and currently holds an ICAT fellowship and is a Clinician in Equine Surgery in University College Dublin.
