Study timeline: blood sampling and measurement of blood β-hydroxybutyrate concentration and milk yield. Blood sampling and measurement of blood β-hydroxybutyrate concentrations are performed eight times in the 21 days from the calving date (day 0). Milk yield is measured daily, starting 4 days after the calving date (day 4)
